White Night

Is anyone else out there watching Betty White on SNL tonight? Or maybe you're tuning in for the resurrection of the divine feminine comedy troupe: Tina Fey, Molly Shannon, Ana Gasteyer, Maya Rudolph, Rachel Dratch & Amy Poehler. Any way you slice it, it's ladies' night! The musical guest will be Jay-Z and I've heard a little rumor that Justin Timberlake will be making an appearance. I am going to predict here and now that this could be the most-watched episode of Saturday Night Live of all time.

After all, 51% of the population is female, and the other 49% were brought into this world by females. I was one of the masses on Facebook that tripped out when our group request for Betty White to do Saturday Night Live was granted. How can you not love Betty White? And all these extras? Are just bonus.

I like the thought that we live in a world where television executives and producers are humble and the collective consciousness of the people wins the day. I am proud to live in a world where Betty White rocks the New York sound stage on demand and takes her well-deserved place tonight amongst the funniest women on the airwaves. Whether you're popping corn and watching it live tonight or planning to catch it on your terms on your DVR or TiVo, you will be a part of something bigger than yourself. Because this is not just another silly episode. This...is an EVENT.
